w In February 1972, the doors between China and the United States opened bridging the gap between East and West. On that same week, the Chinese Journal d/b/a the San Francisco Journal was born. Founded by our president and CEO, Maurice H. Chuck, then a bilingual community newspaper with a volunteer staff of young Chinese Americans, the Journal was the voice of the Chinese community. Today the Chinese Journal is a full service Chinese translation and desktop publishing firm. Our uniqueness comes from our beginnings as Chinese-American journalists and writers.
